8:00 - Productive morning. After our coffee and breakfast, we stripped down all the beds and loaded 3 bundles of laundry in our dinghy along with our garbage.
The water was calm and we didn’t get wet crossing the channel. We dropped off our laundry where a woman will wash, dry and fold it for you. She told us to come back at 2pm.
Meanwhile, we picked up a few groceries before heading back to the boat.
I did my workout and then figured it was a good time to wash the floors and air out the duvets and pillows.
Steve and I swam around the boat. I did 5 laps around today. I try to do it before the wind picks up. We both showered after and it felt so good.
1:00 pm- We crosses the channel to browse in a store called ‘Sandpiper’. Steve bought me an early birthday gift. I really liked these ornamental fish which I want to decorate my backyard with. I love that kind of stuff.
Picked up our laundry, placed it in the dinghy and then went for a beer at an outside bar since it was so hot.
3:30 pm- We made the beds and put all our clothing away. You have no idea how great it makes you feel to have everything tidy and clean again. Steve made water.
I made an asparagus quiche for dinner. Turned out
We sat on the boat deck with a glass of wine and enjoyed the sunset. Life is good
March 6, 2020
7:00 am- Enjoyed our morning coffee on this calm sunny day. It is the clam before the storm. Weather is suppose to change midnight tonight. They are calling it a weather bomb coming on the cruiser’s net.
We went for a nice long dinghy ride before breakfast along the West shore. It was nice because the water was flat. On the way back, we passed sailboats racing from the George Town cruiser’s regatta.
10:00 am - Seeing that we had a late breakfast, I made French toast and used up the sour dough bread I made. Guess I will have to make another tomorrow.
After breakfast, we went on Stocking Cay for a walk on the beach. Not many shells but Steve went swimming since it was so hot.
We then visited Croft who lives on the Island and had a nice visit with him. We reminisced about Dr Jim keeping his boat there.
2:00 pm - came back to the boat for a bowl of soup then we swam 200 yards from our boat to the beach and back. We are taking advantage of the calm before the storm
4:00 pm - Tequila time. Enjoying every moment of this day. With the onset of the westerly wind, the humidity drops. Once the northerly comes, the temperature will drop which is expected late tonight.
March 7, 2020
At 2:30 am it started pouring but it only lasted an hour or so. The winds picked up and increased as the day went on. So far it is showing 25 mph and the boat is rocking however not uncomfortable. Most people are staying on their boat.
Good day to practice guitar and bake a loaf of bread. I also started reorganizing my food stick to see what I had left for when my children come.
The sun is out however the northern winds are bringing cooler air.
6:00 pm- We had chicken kabob, broccoli and potatoes for dinner.
Not much of a sunset since the clouds were out. The wind is just howling. It reminds me of being at home during a winter storm hearing the wind except the boat is rocking.
Watched TV until bedtime.

March 8, 2020 - Time changed
Lost an hour in time however living on the boat doesn't matter. We not only loose track of time but even what day it is.
The wind howled all night and still is. You get tired of hearing the constant whistling of the wind. It compares to a constant whistling kettle. The good news is they announced on the net that this should be the last major front coming thru for the month of March.
One of the locals told us yesterday that he has not seen it this windy for this time of year.

After Steve made breakfast, we went to shore. We needed to get off the boat. We went for a nice long well needed walk on the beach.
The seas were rough.
We walked up to the and looking down we noticed cruisers have marked their territory
12:00 pm - Back at the boat, Steve heated water and read while I tried painting but soon quit.
4:00 pm- I made a new Mac and cheese recipe for dinner. I am trying to copy the Bahamian Mac and cheese
5:30 pm- The Mac and cheese was SO good. We both had seconds. Thanks Karen for the recipe.
After our dinner coffee, I played a little guitar and then watched TV before going to bed.
