March 17, 2020 Happy St Patrick’s Day

March 17, 2020 In George Town
8:00 am-  Happy St Patrick's Day to all. What do you call an Irishman sitting in your backyard?
Paddy O Furniture.
That was the joke on this morning’s cruisers net.
After breakfast, Steve and I took the dinghy to the beach. What a gorgeous view. We spoke to a couple who had to go back home and were saying goodbye to George Town. She was from Montreal and he was from the UK. They have been working on a boat since December. We talked about the Coronavirus and they were stressed about going back to their country. They felt safer here in the Bahamas. We are isolated on our boats and are self sufficient except when we need a few groceries.

I just love all the rock formations made from the sea.

We walked the beach and collected a few shells.  Nice place to be isolated.

3:00 pm- While Steve read, I painted.
4:00 pm- I went kayaking while Steve went swimming. When I got back, I made tuna salad and that is what we had for dinner
5:00 pm- We spoke to my daughter who is still pondering whether to come. She is afraid that if they fly here that their flight back home would be cancelled.
After dinner, we flew the drone and unfortunately it ended up in the water. It hit one of the shrouds and fell under our boat. Steve dove in and dried it up hoping we saved it.  Guess we will find out tomorrow after it is all dry.
