March 26, 2020 - Rudder Cay

March 26, 2020

Gorgeous morning. It is already really hot

8:00 am- Anchors up and leaving Williams Cay heading to Rudder Cay.

We just finished all our fruit. Good thing Steve cut up a few coconuts so we could put it on top of oatmeal.
9:00 pm-  When we got in deeper water, Steve put out his fishing rod and used a Ballyhoo for bait. Thinking positive.

10:00 am-  As I was preparing my bread making process, Steve called me up.

There was a hard buoy floating about near the cut and he retrieved it for me. He knows how much I like collecting buoys.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t that lucky in catching a fish.

10:45 am-  We arrived at Rudder Cut Cay and anchored near the underwater piano and mermaid which was commissioned by David Copperfield in 2011.
We figure we would go snorkeling around 3pm when tides are down and no current. In the meantime, I practice palm leaf weaving.
2:30 pm-  We went to the under water piano. Steve jumped in and videotaped.  There was still too much current for my comfort.
4:30 pm-  Lot of boats are coming to anchor in the harbour. We were entertained for an hour by a boater who tried to anchor. Steve was sipping on a glass of tequila and just kept saying “Why can’t this guy anchor?” It was nice that someone kept us entertained.
6:00 pm- Turkey tacos for dinner tonight. We listened to President Trump along the medical staff on satellite about Covid19 since we have no TV. We are trying to stay current.
The current here is stronger than the wind today. Normally the boat will point into the wind however with this strong current, the stern is facing the wind. Seeing that we eat in the stern of the boat, there was a nice breeze coming into the stern.
We watched the sunset behind the clouds.
8:00 pm- We listened to CNN via satellite where Anderson interviewed doctors and Bill Gates about the Covid and the financial market.
Very interesting.
10:00 pm- Off to bed. Tomorrow we move on.
