March 16, 2020 - Should they stay or should they come?

March 16, 2920 - George Town

8:00 am- Surprised Steve and made bran muffins for breakfast.
It seems that most of our days lately is researching what is going on in the world with the Coronavirus pandemic. My poor daughter and her family were suppose to come this Friday and are now pondering on whether to cancel. Changes and updates, which I receive from my brother in law, are constant. Can’t believe they even closed the Canadian border to some of the non residents.
Very scary indeed. We also just found out that our friends, Gunter and Sue from s/v Sun Spirit will not be coming to the Bahamas this year due to the uncertainties that is going on. They purchased a boat in Jacksonville and were making their way slowly to Miami where they were going to cross to the Bahamas. Right now they are in Vero Beach and will explore other areas near Fort Pierce and Lakeworth area. They will be prepared for next years crossing. In the meantime, we will wait to see what our daughter’s family decides and then we will plan our move.
3:00 pm- Steve went across the channel to fill his gas tank while I practiced my guitar.
Once he returned, we went for a nice long dinghy ride.
At Chat and Chill, they make great conch salad and then load up all the conchs to take them away. They allow you to take one if you want.  As you approach the barge, it stinks.
6:00 pm- Dinner tonight is beans on toast. Another gorgeous evening. We could see dolphins swimming in the distance.
