7:00pm- Anchor is up and off we of. I o Warderick Wells. We are travelling with Karen and Robert.
7:30am- Steve already started fishing.
One disadvantage is not always being connected in the Bahamas because there are areas where they do not have cell towers. In fact Land and Sea part is one of them. Interesting story how I received news about my 90 year old aunt Pauline passing last night. My daughter who lives in Florida text me to say she saw the news on Facebook. I confirm it with a text with my cousin who lives in Niagara Falls. I know I had to call my mom immediately since we will loose connection as we approach the park. I had a difficult time getting a signal so I went at the bow of the boat to call while the motor was running. I managed to talk to my mom and gave her the news. Shortly after, we lost total connection and will until we leave this area. I just thought how perfect the timing was but also not being connected to everyone is a challenge.
11:30pm- We arrived at the Land and Sea at Warderick Wells. We covered 27 kn miles today.
We didn’t waste time getting the dinghy down in the water and went snorkelling before the current got too strong. GaYa came in at high tides and slack time so it was easy to pull up the mooring.
After snorkelling for 1/2 hour and coming back to the boat a 70 ft Berger yacht named Freeplay, were lowering their tendor with 2 cranes when one of the crane line broke. As the bow of the tendor dropped with one of the broken crane still attached and the other one still attached to the boat, it bounced off the side of the yacht hanging from one of the crane . We rushed there to help get the dinghy which was floating away with the attached broken crane. It took some doing but Steve helped along with another boater to at least get the broken arm back on the yacht. There was no damage to the yacht but it tore out the stainless steel pulpit from the dinghy. At least their dinghy was still operable.
Came back to the boat afterwards to shower then we met Karen and Robert at the beach for about an hour.
I made stir fry tonight with left over pork chops.
6:30pm- Robert and Karen came over to play a game they taught us with dominoes called Mexican Train. It was fun. We played for a couple of hours.
After they left, Steve and a I watched an episode of Dirty John before going o bed.

I was able to get connection close to the office to update the blog and to text family. The signal here is on and off. In fact, Steve wanted to pay for another night however the internet was down therefore he will have to go in the morning.
We notice a new boater having a difficult time grabbing his mooring. Steve hopped in the dinghy and helped them out.
After breakfast, Steve and I went for a long walk around the park. What beauty. Steve carved out our boat name on an old piece of wood and left it in the park. Good thing we had good walking shoes since the terrain can be razor sharp. You surely wouldn't want to fall.
Having a little fun
Steve carved a sign with our boat name
After the walk we went swimming off the beach. I took advantage of the cell tower beside the office to check on my mail and update this blog.
After we had a bowl of soup for a late lunch, we had to fix a broken water line coming from the back of the water tank. Good thing we had the parts to repair it. Interesting how you almost have to bring spare parts for every part of the boat. It is knowing which parts to bring since you have limited storage.
We made water for an hour and now we have two full tanks.
4:30pm - Hors d’oeuvres time on the beach. It is a great way to talk to other boaters about what they have seen. There were a lot of boaters who showed up.
7:00pm- Came back to the boat wth Brenda and James who live on the vessel Freeplay and nibbled on chips nuts while sharing our boat stories until 8:30pm
Afterwards watched the end of Dirty John series before going to bed.

1:30am - Good thing we were on a mooring because as predicted high winds and rain started. We kept waking up to check on things. Steve figures by 4 am that the winds must of been 30 mph. It was crazy. Having the 70 ft Berger (James and Brenda’s boat) beside made me nervous but they have fantastic moorings which hold the weight. Funny because we could see James big screen TV on. I am sure most boaters aren’t getting any sleep. I feel bad for those on anchor and especially those that aren’t in protected areas.
9:00am- I got out of bed when I heard Steve making coffee. It still is blowing but it calm down from last night.
11:30pm- The water calmed down enough for him to go on shore and pay for another night. He didn’t seem too wet when he returned.
We both read during the afternoon
2:00pm- We took our dinghy to go see Robert and Karen. Karen wrote out and gave me a recipe for sourdough bread along with some starter however I must of lost it on the beach yesterday. I figure I would just take a photo of the recipe. Can’t wait to try it. It is a long procedure to make but will be so rewarding.
While we were there, we noticed a nurse shark swimming around.
We rested a little when we returned.
5:30pm- Brenda and James from Freeplay vessel, invited us over for turkey chili. After a tour of their beautiful boat, we had such a delicious meal and great conversation. It was a nice way to end our last evening in the park.
James and Brenda had a big screen TV but unfortunately they could not get the Super Bowl game however they could get the score. We left before the game was over so we will have to wait until we get wifi to know the score.
9:00pm- Came back to the boat and I watched “Lost In Space “ series while Steve read before going to bed.
The winds died right down. We will get a good night sleep.
