8:00am- We departed Cambridge and headed to Black Point. It is a little bumpy but we don’t have far to go.
It was a little rough going thru Conch cut. Steve gets his arm exercise by holding on to the wheel to control the boat.
11:45 am- After covering 20 kn miles, we arrived at Black Sound.
We went to shore to check out the laundromat availability. Seeing that it wasn’t that busy since they have 10 machines, we did our laundry.
There is a regatta starting on Friday at Little Farmers Cay which we plan on attending. They were loading up one of the racing boat onto the mail ship.
We did two loads of laundry and back to the boat by 4pm. So nice when everything is done and clean.
I played my guitar while Steve took an afternoon fiesta.
6:00pm- met Karen and Robert at the dock for our dinner reservations at Lorraine Restaurant. Even if they are not busy, you have to make reservations so that the cook knows exactly how much food they will need The one restaurant even wanted to know what we wanted Robert. Karen and I had red snapper while Steve had ribs. It was all so good. You have to wait quite a while for the meal but that is Bahamian style. Well worth the wait.
Once back to the boat, we watched one episode of Lost in Space but we were both in bed by 10pm.
February 6, 2020- Still in Black Point
First of all, Happy Birthday to our sweet grandson Cooper. He turned 3years old. He was born when we were in Treasure Cay on our boat visiting Don and Kim who were staying at a resort there. Great memories.
We rocked and rolled most of the night. T
Last night the 3/4 size moon was so bright and reflected on the water.

7:00am- Did my daily exercises. It is difficult to maintain balance when the boat is swaying and rocking. The sun is out and it is humid.
After breakfast, Steve and I cleaned the boat up. He washed and waxed the back end while I reorganized my cupboards.
11:00am- We picked up Karen at her boat to bring her to shore with us. Robert wanted to work on his boat. We went for a nice long needed walk. We stopped for a bottle of water since we were dehydrated by the long hot and humid walk.
After our rest, we then stopped at Lorraine Restaurant to pick up coconut bread. Lorraine’s mother bakes bread daily in her home which is situated behind the restaurant.
There are 3 small grocery stores within walking distance and we managed to get all our necessary provisions between all of them.
As we were going back to the boat on our dinghy, we saw the sailboat practicing for the big Five F regatta this weekend.

Came back to the boat and had a late lunch. I painted while Steve read until it was Happy Hour in town for 4:30. We met Robert and Karen there. Their chicken wings were really good.
6:30pm- We are not going to get a lot of sleep tonight. The boat is just bouncing around where we can hear the dishes clanging in the closed up cupboard. Not very pleasant.
