January 26, 2020 - Off to the Exunas

January 26, 2020 -  Leaving Nassau
7:30am- Anchors are up and we are waving goodbye to Nassau. We could see cruise ships leaving the port and the Atlantis building in pink
We prefer anchoring away from all that chaos. We are following Karen and Robert once again since they have been in these areas.

This year we are starting at the top of the Exumas and working our way down.

8:45am-  Steve and I decided to write a message in a bottle to see if anyone responds. Should be interesting if anyone ever emails us.

1:45pm- Arrived at Allan’s Cay after covering 28kn.
There are iguana’s who habitat these islands. We might stay here a couple of days and explore the area.
We talked to another boater from Hamilton. Amazing to see so many Canadians.
Karen and Robert met up with his brother and wife  at Allen’s Cay from Ontario who have a trawler. So exciting for them since Robert lives in Nova Scotia.
Steve and I didn’t waste time seeing the Iguana’s. Such a historical looking creature.

Spaghetti and sausage for dinner tonight. What a gorgeous anchorage.

So relaxing.
