January 15- On our way to West Palm

January 15, 2020
6:30am-  The alarm went off and up we go. We managed to motor out of  Ft Pierce City marina at 7:00am at low tides.
Leaving Ft Pierce City Marina at 7am

Our first sunrise since we have been in the water

As we passed the power plant before the Jensen Beach Causeway Bridge at mile 981.4, we looked back and saw a cloud of fog. I thought it was a mountain but it was actually pollution.
Went by the nuclear plant

Fog looks like a mountain

9:10am- Saw our first dolphins in the distance.
We covered 14.4 miles as we went under the Jensen Beach Causeway Bridge at mile 981.4

9:50- We went under the Sewalls Point-Ernest Lyons Bridge at mile 984.9. We saw manatees along the way.

11:30am- Had to request the bridge to open at Hobe Sound Bridge  at mile 995.9.

2:30pm- We went under the PGA bridge at mile 1012.0. So much traffic. We found out there is no slips available at Riviera Beach due to a fishing tournament. We were lucky to get a slip at North Palm Beach Marina since all other surrounding marinas were full.

3:00pm-  After going under the Parker bridge  at mile 1013.4, we reached our destination on the starboard side. We can only stay at this marina for 2 days.

Our boat at North Palm Marina

7:00pm-  Last week Steve and I purchased all our meat and froze it in our daughter's freezer.  Nicky, Parker and Lyla dropped by from LakeWorth and brought us all the meat. We managed to fit it in our boat freezer.  We then went out to dinner at the Draft House along with our friend Duane.
