It was a windy and dismal day. Steve managed to get a lot of small projects done today. He cleaned out the barbecue, changed the shackles on the anchor, repaired the hot water heater while I looked at all stock and provisions we had put away on the boat,
Steve talked to a couple who are thinking of sailing with other boaters on Sunday to Great Harbour. It would be at least 20 hours straight sailing. We will see what the weather will be like at that time.
Steve and I went for a nice long walk for exercise.
6:30pm- Our daughter, Nicky, dropped off her car for us to use while her and her family went to St Pete for the long weekend. Steve and I had a great dinner before watching TV for the remainder of the evening.
11:00pm- While we were lying in bed, we heard a big thump. We rushed out and one of our neighboring boats’ kayak flew into the water and hit the bow of our boat. Steve was not a happy camper since he scraped 2 of his toes while trying to lift the kayak out of the water.
Some boaters have no consideration for other boater. They had all their stuff on the dock which left us with barely any room to jump down. They aren’t even on their boat.
It was very windy.

9:30am- Steve told the security guard about the kayak hitting our boat and fell in the water. They immediate took care of the situation and removed everything from the dock and placed it on the owners boat. They agreed it was very dangerous.
Another windy and cloudy day. Good day for Steve to install the new water maker filters and membranes.
Seeing that we had our daughter’s car, we were able to get needed parts and batteries along with a few groceries in prep for our journey. Late afternoon, we went to their house to take a shower and do a load of laundry in case we go across the gulf tomorrow.
7:00pm- Came back to the boat for dinner and as Steve handed me a bowl of Clam Chowder, fireworks began. We had a perfect view from our boat. It is a long weekend in the States.
