April 2, 2020 - Hatchet Bay

April 2, 2020 - Hatchet Bay
8:00 am-  While sipping on our morning coffee and catching up on news, we had a good laugh.
Steve just read a post from Nassau from a Nassau cruiser dated yesterday stating to batten down the hatch, a nasty front is coming thru. And yes it was since we were right in the middle of it.
Such a calm and beautiful morning. My daughters text me to let me know they worked out together via Houseparty App. Glad they are supporting each other they these weird times.
I started the process for making bread.
10:00 am-  Steve found a place where he could bring our trash. We then had a nice French toast breakfast.
12:00 pm-  We went for a long dinghy ride to enjoy the calmness since we can’t walk the beaches. Love all the rock formations. Good thing we got back when we did.

W eird how calm it is today and how different things look when the seas are calm.

1:00 pm- Police just came to our boat to notify us that we cannot get off our boat. No one is allowed on land. We went for a dinghy ride just to get off which is fine. Bahamian count is going up and they are trying to control it. They provided us with phone # in case we need medical, food or fuel. I feel bad for those who do not have a water maker.
3:00 pm-  We were pleasantly surprise that our financial advisor called us to make sure we were fine. Very impressive.

Steve and I had a game of chicken foot. It is better to play with someone else.

5:00 pm-  While the bread was in the oven, Steve and I sat on the bow of the boat with a glass of wine.
For dinner we had cheese, homemade bread, stuffed olives with almonds, celery and carrots with blue cheese.  We always enjoy the day I make bread.
8:00 pm- Watched Netflix series befor going to bed. No wind what so ever tonight.
We think we will go to Royal tomorrow.
